What is this?

Our Mission

We aim to provide a YouTube archive. Obviously, it's totally unrealistic to archive the entirety of YouTube, so we archive selected YouTube channels instead. Anyone can submit requests for which channels to mirror—they just need approval from our admin team.

Note: We may reject channels related to extremism, misinformation, or simply because the content is already available on enough platforms that a mirror from us isn't necessary.
How it Works

We decided the best way to archive content is by mirroring it to a PeerTube instance. This way, it simultaneously acts as an alternative way to access the content for those who can't or don't want to use YouTube.

Storage Considerations

Mirroring all this content consumes a lot of storage. To prevent growing too fast, we currently only mirror new content (i.e., new uploads to channels after they're added to our database). We then slowly catch up with older content when we have spare resources.

  • Minimum 10,000 subscribers
  • At least 10 uploaded videos
  • Active within the last 6 months
